Catherine Parenteau Is On Fire This Year
Parenteau, a remarkable player on the PPA Tour, has achieved remarkable success in various categories, including mixed doubles, singles, and women's doubles. It's possible that Parenteau is currently performing at the highest level of her pickleball career. Recently, she had a fantastic win in the semi-finals of the 2023 Austin PPA Open as the fourth seed, beating the top seed, Anna Leigh Walters. Although Parenteau has only won three out of twelve career matches against Waters, the latter's outstanding performance was on an upward trajectory. The unbeatable sixteen-year-old phenom had not lost a single match in the singles category all season and had already secured two triple crowns in 2023. Prior to her loss to Parenteau, her singles winning streak goes back to the Orange County Cup in June 2022, where she takes a lost to Parris Todd, which means that she had played singles on the tour without losing for over eight months. Parenteau faced pickleball star Lea Jansen the No. 3 seed and defeated her to become the 2023 Austin PPA women's singles champion. Can Catherine Parenteau keep this trend going?
